Well, it has officially been over a year since nookkin.com launched, late at night on December 22. And while school and work have taken an unexpected toll on the amount of things I wanted to post, I still think that it has been a successful year.
If you haven't noticed already, the design of nookkin.com has been spruced up in small but pleasant ways. Notice, for example, the updated home page design. More such updates are coming soon.
More important than design, perhaps, is the addition of some new content. I have released a few pieces of software other than NPS, with more coming eventually. (There is a fine line between releasing a large amount of unfinished projects and releasing a small amount of polished releases.) I will soon be adding categories for the Articles section, and of course the accompanying content. On the back end of things, I'm working on a system that will let me add a new page in one step, without having to manually update several sections at once.
Despite the lack of releases of NPS since summer, I am actively working on Alpha 2 and plan on releasing it within the coming month of January if all goes well. My goals for Alpha 2 are adding at least rudimentary support for the Obsidian Extension Model (which will allow one to write more powerful extensions), the Color Resolution Engine (with the EVAL color selector seen in private builds), some more options that actually work, and a few new drawing tools.
I will try to post something new every week, but please understand that with school and work, this may not be possible. Happy new year from nookkin.com!
